I’m puzzled by some of the negative reactions to this movie; I found it entertaining. My enjoyment probably stems from not going in anticipating something overly complex. It's a science fiction horror film, and my anticipation was centered on seeing what fresh and unsettling methods Sir Ridley Scott would devise to frighten the actors—and he didn’t let me down. The android’s betrayal was predictable, certainly, but if the Star Wars series can repeatedly feature planet-destroying battle stations across its films, I'm willing to overlook it. If you were hoping for resolution of the unresolved plot points from *Prometheus*, perhaps you should hope Sir Ridley lives long enough—he’s eighty years old—to direct the planned prequel to *Alien: Covenant*, called *Awakening*, which might then satisfy what you're seeking.
