There’s a lot I can see that others disliked about this film; it feels like a significant failure to capitalize on its potential. What bothered me most, beyond the obvious issues with a predictable and poorly written story, was how jarringly 'Prometheus' seemed blended with 'Alien'. 'Alien: Covenant' appears overly concerned with its own significance, losing sight of what made the original film so appealing. I genuinely hoped to enjoy it, but left feeling profoundly let down.
