The 1980s styling felt a little contrived and overly nostalgic, but overall, *’Air’* is really good! I wasn't around during the eighties, so I can’t really comment on how authentic it feels, however, the frequent displays of period-specific items, music, and settings did become somewhat repetitive for me. I’ve heard similar complaints about *‘Stranger Things’* season 3, although I thought the combination worked better in that show. It's a minor point, but it was quite noticeable here. Regardless, let's move on to what matters: this is a great film. The entire ensemble cast delivers strong performances, especially Matt Damon, Viola Davis (their phone conversation is fantastic), Jason Bateman and Ben Affleck. I’d say the second half of the nearly two-hour runtime is more compelling; initially, I was interested, but not fully engaged, and by the conclusion, I felt both invested and entertained. The narrative follows a familiar path, but that doesn't detract from how enjoyable it is. It’s an interesting choice to almost exclude Michael Jordan from a movie about him. It feels slightly strange when he appears and they deliberately keep him out of view. I understand the reasoning behind it, and for the most part, it works well, though there were moments where it felt a bit odd. Ultimately, this is very good. Honestly, disregard my earlier criticisms—it's absolutely worth seeing.
