Arnold Schwarzenegger has demonstrated with films like this one and _Maggie_ that he possesses capabilities beyond the image of the action hero we often associated with him. While _Aftermath_ isn't necessarily a superb film, it does manage to evoke some genuine feeling, culminating in a reasonably pleasing resolution. It serves its purpose adequately as a showcase for Schwarzenegger’s acting range. Final rating:★★½ - There was much about it that I found appealing, but ultimately it didn't fully succeed.
