While "After Yang" isn't without some problems in how quickly things unfold, Kogonada’s sensitive and insightful approach to the narrative, along with ASKA’s remarkable score that evokes strong emotions, elevates it into a moving and uplifting film. It offers a deep and genuine exploration of family dynamics, the nature of love, and the significance of our origins. The movie presents an intriguing perspective on what makes us human, viewed through the experiences of a robot—in both a literal and metaphorical sense. The acting is superb across the board, though Colin Farrell delivers a particularly nuanced and impactful portrayal. There are moments where the film gets a little lost in its visually striking but still compositions. Regardless, it remains quite affecting. Rating: B+
