I believe this is easily the strongest installment in the franchise. A particularly striking moment occurs early on when Hardin verbally attacks a person living on the street—a revelation later shows this individual to be Tessa’s father. Following his breakup with Tessa, he starts using alcohol and drugs, which somehow transforms him into a more interesting character than he ever seemed before, despite his limited acting range and somewhat vacant expression. It's genuinely one of the most enjoyable films I've watched, mainly because of that gratuitous insult directed at Tessa’s father who is without housing.
