I’m glad films like this one still get made; big-budget productions wouldn't attempt something so straightforward. The plot itself isn’t groundbreaking—it’s familiar territory, and you can find countless similar movies, even drawing comparisons to 'If I Stay'. However, the story is presented in a unique way. This is the director’s debut feature, and while the actors aren’t well-known, the film works because of its solid narrative. Considering the budget, the visuals are surprisingly good; they managed to create a respectable CGI character. Much of the movie unfolds in dimly lit settings, which helped with production quality. The cast is fairly small, though occasionally some extra characters and background performers appear. The ending’s reveal feels predictable, like it's relying on tired tropes, but the initial parts are well-paced and suspenseful. This balance and careful development proved to be strengths for the film. I found it quite enjoyable, especially since my expectations were low after hearing about its reception. It might not appeal to everyone, but I’d advise against taking those critical comments too seriously. It's certainly worth seeing, even if you don’t plan on giving it a high score.
