It's an unusual film, and certainly a worthwhile one. The actors deliver strong performances in this 2005 movie. Mads Mikkelsen is clearly the most memorable – he’s excellent. Ulrich Thomsen doesn't have a huge amount to do, but still makes a significant impression; it’s funny how much someone’s appearance can affect your perception of them, and that final scene has a rather subtle head-trip moment! I’m not entirely convinced by what the film is trying to convey, however, I did enjoy watching it. It doesn't have particularly sharp humor, maybe some was missed due to inconsistent subtitles on Viaplay, but what’s there is sufficient. There's one joke near the end that stands out as being quite offensive, combining racist and ableist elements – dark comedy, of course. Beyond that, I’d say the sound design and visuals are very evocative at times. Would I suggest seeing 2005’s *‘Adam’s Apples'*? Yes. *I wonder if I looked up that phrase online as a more delicate way to describe a mindf#ck—possibly.*
