It’s a really enjoyable film that I plan to watch again and would suggest others check out. I must have seen this movie numerous times; it’s likely among my all-time favorites. The story starts with a strange idea—the need to attend college—and then poses the question of what becomes of those who are capable but don't get accepted: they forge their own path, in a literal sense. The very notion behind this kind of undertaking is captivating, and the actors involved deliver wonderfully: Justin Long, Blake Lively, Maria Thayer, Jonah Hill, Lewis Black, and even Hannah Marx appear. The humor is timed exceptionally well, and while there's some noticeable quick-fire delivery, it’s generally so effective that I don't find it bothersome. A significant reason I appreciate the writing is its focus on characters—creating oddball, entertaining personalities and placing them within this amusing setting. Many scenes feature background activity, which can be a gamble, but the results are outstanding. Beyond that, there are smaller storylines interwoven with a larger narrative exploring themes of acceptance and new ideas. I urge you to see it; I highly doubt you’ll regret giving it a try.
