Antonio’s presence consistently elevates every moment he appears. Beyond that, this is a reasonably enjoyable film involving sharks, antagonists, and individuals submerged in water. The performers deliver solid performances, the suspense is palpable, the storyline functions effectively, and aside from some significant stretches requiring considerable suspension of disbelief—specifically one instance with the flare—it largely remains within the realm of plausibility.
