This movie, "A Working Man," serves as a clear illustration of how a film can miss the mark on nearly every level within its chosen category. It lacks exciting action, interesting characters, and any real effort to bring something new or explore the story in a meaningful way; what resulted is a disappointing, completely unremarkable presentation from David Ayer. Jason Statham tries his hardest to improve a movie that seemed destined for failure from the very beginning, but even his appeal isn’t enough to rescue a film likely to be considered among the least impressive of the year.
