This is a really solid Christmas film, and it’s also a movie that honors veterans—something that feels like Hollywood has overlooked lately when making family-friendly stories. The performers were fantastic, particularly the main actors; they gave such convincing portrayals that I honestly felt transported to the world of the story. It seemed as though they genuinely resonated with who the filmmakers intended to reach. As someone relatively new to Hallmark movies, I’m quite pleased by the standard of their productions and especially the talent they feature. Having watched a number of these films, this one stands out as my favorite, particularly in terms of its subject matter and how well the actors fit into it.
