The story begins with a mistaken visit to a welcoming couple who happen to share a name with Witt’s future parents-in-law, leading her to quickly develop feelings for their son. Upon realizing the error, she finds herself disliking the actual family she was supposed to meet and losing interest in her intended partner. Despite the silly storyline and generally unpleasant characters, Witt remains likable. The film aims to be a pleasant holiday offering, and it achieves this by incorporating numerous festive elements.
