It’s true that Kenneth Branagh isn't ideally suited for the role of Poirot, but it’s still enjoyable to see Agatha Christie stories brought to life on screen—and more murder mysteries should be filmed! This installment is a noticeable step up from Death on the Nile, featuring some engaging views of Venice before transitioning to the eerie palazzo where most of the action occurs. Michelle Yeoh stood out among the recognizable cast members. Tina Fey felt like an unusual selection for comedic moments within a historical setting. There were points during the film when we had to shut our eyes, though.
