It's a genuinely enjoyable film that I’d happily watch again and feel comfortable suggesting to others. I am always happy to see Jaime Lee Pressly in something, but Marlon Wayans is the real draw here. A significant appeal of the initial installment was its return to what made the early "Scary Movie" films special, before the creative direction shifted away from the Wayans brothers. While a handful of gags linger for too long, generally speaking, the humor is quite funny and reliable, incorporating recurring elements. The movie effectively blends various paranormal themes, and with some minor adjustments, it could have evolved into a legitimately scary horror film with considerable depth.
