It’s not true that pop videos didn't exist in the sixties; this film serves as proof, with perhaps one, two, three—or even five—segments fitting that description, all tied together by a silly but entertaining narrative. The story involves the band traveling to London for a TV appearance, and Ringo gets lost, much to the annoyance of the director. What follows are several amusing incidents mixed with some stylish musical numbers from the group. There’s an abundance of charm throughout—the musicians seem to be genuinely enjoying themselves, Bramble looks like a bewildered rabbit as he always does, and the scenes depicting screaming fans effectively convey the level of admiration this band received. The film doesn't try to present itself as a masterpiece of filmmaking, which is fortunate because it isn’t; however, as ninety minutes of nearly candid amusement, it’s worth seeing.
