It’s an acceptable film to view, and I could see myself watching it again sometime, though I can't really suggest it to others. I do enjoy the movie; the actors were well-chosen, the story is adequate, and the production quality is good. However, even when it first came out, it wasn’t particularly impressive. There are some genuinely humorous scenes, and if I were Jason Lee, picking between Selma Blair and Julia Stiles would probably be difficult, but largely the humor comes from depicting unpleasant situations for the character. Seeing ants under a magnifying glass isn't really that enjoyable. A positive aspect is the presence of cleverly developed characters and strong performances throughout. There are undoubtedly many other films available that are likely superior, particularly considering how much time has passed.
