It’s common knowledge that the moon consists of cheese, so when "Wallace" and his patient dog "Gromit" find themselves low on their favorite Wensleydale – perhaps after seeing “The Mouse on the Moon” (1963) – they come up with a plan to construct a rocket and journey to this cheesy paradise. Following a hurried scramble for the cream crackers, they blast off and quickly discover themselves surrounded by an abundance of cheese. However, they aren't alone in this place, and that’s when their adventures truly start. I don’t often comment on voice actors in animated works because it’s not always consistent, but Peter Sallis is a wonderful choice for the role of "Wallace," and Nick Park’s animation, along with the work of the Aardman team, creates an appealing stop-motion story that flows nicely over twenty minutes of vibrant and expressive storytelling. It's straightforward, without any unnecessary complications, and definitely worth your time.
