The story follows a young man from New York who travels to the Swiss Alps in search of his boss because of financial difficulties back home. Initially, he finds it difficult to connect with him, as the staff is unwelcoming. An unforeseen event forces him to extend his stay, during which he begins to suspect something isn't right and resolves to uncover the truth. Does he succeed? The film details his efforts and everything that follows. The movie brought to mind “Perfume: The Story of a Murderer,” particularly until its conclusion or when the puzzle pieces fall into place. The musical score felt rather predictable given the story’s premise, but there's no substitute for it. It started strongly, and even the middle section was engaging, though the latter part felt drawn out. The film's overall length proved to be a disadvantage for the storytelling. While every scene seemed purposeful and contributed something, the final twist didn’t quite live up to the anticipation built earlier on—especially if you’ve encountered similar concepts before. It feels like an older idea, reminiscent of pre-1980s stories, but it's still welcome given its relative rarity. Ultimately, its value depends on how well it’s executed.
