_A Cure for Wellness_ isn’t a film that will appeal broadly, that's for sure. It’s strikingly, intentionally, and somewhat jarringly unattractive—though there’s an odd beauty to be found in its visuals. The narrative has issues, the runtime is considerable (a full two and a half hours), the pacing is leisurely, some plot threads don’t quite resolve, it isn't as enigmatic or insightful as it seems to believe itself to be, and it struggles to consistently adhere to its own internal logic. Despite all of that, I found myself enjoying it immensely. Final rating:★★★½ - It was something I genuinely liked, and I would suggest you consider watching it.
