It’s worthwhile to see *A Complete Unknown*, a film about Bob Dylan. My familiarity with him is limited; I recognize his name and maybe a couple of songs, which seems typical for me—I guess you could call me an uncultured person. So, going in, my main interest was how the story translated to the screen, and it’s quite good! Timothée Chalamet gives a mostly impressive performance; I did feel his acting style seemed a bit unnatural at times, just a couple of moments really, and there were also a few instances where I struggled to understand what he was conveying. Edward Norton is solid as well, though I expected him to have a bigger role, mainly because I’ve seen him promoting the film alongside Chalamet quite often. Elle Fanning and Monica Barbaro both deliver performances that stand out, and honestly, everyone in the cast does just fine. The music seems well-executed; while I'm not deeply familiar with Dylan's catalog, it felt appropriate to what was shown. It might be a bit too prominent, which is an odd thing to say about a movie centered on a musician, but there’s a lot of music included. The final scene at the festival is the one that will stick with me most; the sound design in that moment was especially remarkable—I was practically vibrating from the noise. If I had to mention anything that wasn't entirely positive, it would be the film's pacing and length. But I wouldn’t necessarily consider those drawbacks.
