The performances in this movie aren’t terrible; it's clear that everyone involved put effort into their roles. Some of the characters felt authentic, while others seemed more like stock figures. This inconsistency seems largely due to the script itself. Certain lines were laughably awkward and cringe-worthy—I can’t recall specifics, unfortunately. However, I will say that the visuals were gorgeous and the production values were high. Every set and costume appeared flawless and appropriate for each scene. The costumes in particular helped reveal aspects of a character's personality; Richard’s clothing, for instance, conveyed both regal status and an attempt to appear ordinary. There were significant pacing problems throughout the film. It didn’t feel like the story unfolded at the right speed—the initial part dragged on while the conclusion felt hurried. Perhaps the filmmakers initially envisioned a longer movie and then had to shorten it to its final length of one hour and thirty-two minutes, which explains the abrupt resolution. I also have concerns about the relationship depicted in this film; it didn’t seem genuine or easy to connect with. While it's understandable that a romance between a journalist and a prince might not be entirely relatable, the writers could have made at least one of the characters more accessible. The connection felt rushed because they barely interacted before he suddenly developed feelings for her, with little explanation beyond subtle suggestions. Ultimately, *A Christmas Prince* may appeal to fans of romantic comedies, but it’s less likely to satisfy others. I'd rate *A Christmas Prince* a 6/10.
