This initial adaptation of the Charles Dickens story was something I truly enjoyed. Reginald Owen and Gene Lockhart, who happened to be born in London, Ontario, gave terrific performances as Ebenezer Scrooge and his worker Bob Cratchit. It’s certainly a film that deserves attention during the holidays.
