This is a really pleasing movie from Disney and Pixar. *A Bug’s Life* brings together appealing animation, likable characters, and a cast that sticks with you. The story is engaging, and the film moves along quickly over its 95-minute length. The music is good too. Dave Foley does well voicing Flik, while Kevin Spacey delivers a terrific performance as Hopper; it’s unfortunate about what happened with him, of course. There are many other talented voice actors involved, including Julia Louis-Dreyfus (as Atta), Hayden Panettiere (Dot), Bonnie Hunt (Rosie) and John Ratzenberger (P.T.), among others – easily one of the studio's strongest ensembles. I have to say, maybe a bit against common opinion, I like *Antz* just a little better than this one—though it’s not by much, as I enjoy both films immensely. If you have the chance, I recommend seeing them both.
