The increased budget for 5-Headed Shark Attack allows for more elaborate shark visuals compared to the previous installments. The creature now leaps from the water with greater regularity, circles its intended targets, and is depicted consuming people—a first for this set of films. The visual presentation also sees an improvement, representing a high point in camera work within the series. However, these enhancements are undercut by a reduction in the film's inherent silliness; it risks becoming just another generic shark movie, squandering the possibilities presented by its premise, much like the initial entry did. It’s not the weakest offering so far, but neither is it the strongest.
