Robert Lansing portrays "Scott," alongside his brother "Tony" (James Congdon), as they develop an unusual formula that would seem incredible even in the story of “Rumpelstiltskin.” Following some promising early tests involving a pencil and steel, the elder sibling finds he’s able to pass through solid objects like walls and doors; however, this ability comes with a significant drawback. The power needed for these actions rapidly ages him, and his only recourse is to take years from other people... While the story's outlandish concept turns out to be rather enjoyable, the performances of Lansing and Lee Meriwether, who plays their mutual romantic interest "Lee," are notably poor. The special effects are surprisingly decent considering they were created in 1959, and even though it’s not a film that will stick with you afterward, it provides some entertainment once the plot picks up (roughly around the 45-minute mark).
