It’s uncommon for shark films to demonstrate any real effort, and _47 Meters Down: Uncaged_ should be recognized for attempting something. The visual effects depicting the sharks are inconsistent in quality; when successful, they're impressive, though unfortunately, that wasn't the case during the initial appearance of a shark. It’s about as inventive as you can expect from this type of movie, but even so, _Uncaged_ falls short of being genuinely enjoyable. The story is unbelievable, the characters are unengaging, and the acting isn’t particularly strong. While it surpasses many contemporary shark movies, it doesn't quite reach a satisfactory level when compared to films in general. _Final rating:★★½ - I found several aspects appealing, but ultimately it didn’t fully succeed._
