There are some fleetingly enjoyable parts to be found within this film, although it largely follows a predictable formula for survival-thrillers, hampered by noticeably weak performances or, at the very least, clumsy writing. The initial installment wasn't particularly impressive either, but its characters didn’t find themselves in trouble because of sheer foolishness, as happens here; the plot kicks off when one of the women is frightened by a fish and accidentally bumps into a support beam. The cast doesn't offer much to remark upon beyond the fact that two members are children of well-known actors—Jamie Foxx’s daughter, Corinne Foxx, and Sylvester Stallone’s daughter, Sistine Stallone. It isn't awful and provides reasonably acceptable entertainment, yet it feels strangely outmoded despite the recent popularity of shark-themed stories. **2.0/5**
