This latest installment is an unfortunate revival that has damaged the series it belongs to. The movie felt empty and lacking in creativity, showing no consideration for the initial narrative. While the beginning was promising, the film seemed unsure of its direction, and the decisions characters made stretched believability to a breaking point; it’s hard to imagine these are people who managed to live through nearly three decades. It's unexciting, unsatisfactory, and feels like a disservice to those who enjoyed *28 Days Later*, *28 Weeks Later*, as well as the related graphic novels and comics. Honestly: if you care about this franchise, I suggest avoiding this movie altogether; it’s simply not worth your time or money.
