It's unusual for me to leave a cinema simply thinking something was excellent, but that's exactly what happened this time. I typically find it hard to connect with the themes in zombie movies (even though I understand the anger is distinct from being undead), however, this film develops into something incredibly layered and detailed, leaving me grinning throughout as it explores how people deal with a changed world and how their viewpoints shape their efforts to stay alive. It’s completely wild, an absolute joy. My gratitude goes out to Nia DaCosta, Ralph Fiennes, and Jack O’Connell. HOWZAT?!
