The movie centers on a hired combatant resurrected through an experimental procedure created by his employer. It turns out this revival only grants him a single day of life, and the company begins to question whether reviving him was wise. Despite its fantastical setup, the film is remarkably well-crafted, featuring a story told with a sense of realism, strong acting from Ethan Hawke and Qing Xu, and truly outstanding action and gunplay that are presented with impressive choreography. It's genuinely thrilling to watch.
