It's easy to find reasons to dislike _22 Jump Street_, the follow-up to the revival of the 1987 television program, if one were inclined to do so. However, I’d rather just enjoy it because that’s what I did. Dismissing what critics have written, this film isn't unintelligent; in fact, it’s quite clever. It doesn't aim for significant depth or provoke contemplation, and it might not be groundbreaking or inventive, sophisticated, refined, or understated—but the humor is sharp! And that’s really all that matters when you’re watching a comedy. _22 Jump Street_ demonstrates a strong self-awareness, which can easily backfire, but I believe they navigated this well, incorporating meta-humor without seeming pretentious or careless. It's true. I don't generally care for comedies, and American ones are even lower on my list. But occasionally, I stumble upon something enjoyable. The first _21 Jump Street_ was a welcome surprise (especially given that I expected it to resemble the original series, which was a serious police procedural…) and now _22 Jump Street_ joins that small collection. _75%_ _-Gimly_
