Living in Sydney, I’ve seen firsthand the impact of terrible air quality – our city experienced its worst conditions in a decade back in 2020 because of bushfire smoke. To make matters worse, a plan to improve air quality for New South Wales that had been talked about for ages is now over three years late. With deforestation, pollution and disappearing species being such critical concerns globally, it’s encouraging to see talented filmmakers tackling these subjects in movies. It's really valuable when a movie can connect us with the natural world and motivate us to safeguard it. Sadly, even though '2067' has impressive visuals, interesting production design, and frighteningly timely ideas, its flawed writing makes it difficult to give it a positive endorsement.
