While Thomas Jane’s delivery can be difficult to decipher at times, and the narrative follows a familiar formula reminiscent of Stephen King's _Children of the Corn_, that doesn’t prevent 1922 from earning a place among the successful 2017 adaptations of his work, like _It_ and _Gerald's Game_. It certainly isn't on par with something like _The Dark Tower_, though. ★★★ - I enjoyed it; I would suggest checking it out.
