Those inclined to dismiss something simply because of perceived issues might want to steer clear of _100 Girls_. However, if that doesn’t quite capture your preferences, I would... likely still suggest avoiding _100 Girls_. Even setting aside the film’s **bizarre** focus on gender stereotypes, the overly sweet depictions of “heroism,” which feel outmoded and possibly harmful, and even if you disregarded the odd, unsettling nature of the characters' connections, what remains is a predictable story lacking depth and with a significant mismatch between its intended meaning and how it unfolds. I’m not suggesting _100 Girls_ couldn’t have been successful (though I imagine some viewers will feel that way), but simply stating that it isn’t.
