Mirage

The "Mirage" film collection comprises two films released between 2023 and 2024. This collection presents a dialogue between concepts from particle physics and ideas found within tropical Sufi mysticism. At its core, it introduces the life and work of sixteenth-century Sumatran philosopher, poet, and Sufi mystic Hamzah Fansuri. Fansuri's writings propose that God permeates all aspects of the universe, extending to the subatomic level. He theorized that the universe itself is a holographic projection of God onto a two-dimensional plane. The collection’s films explore these concepts, noting that Fansuri’s ideas about the universe's composition and nature resonate with scientific breakthroughs in particle physics and the holographic principle, concepts developed centuries later. The "Mirage" collection consists of two films: "Mirage: Metanoia - Prelude" (2023) with a runtime of 6 minutes, and "Mirage: Eigenstate" (2024) with a runtime of 30 minutes.
